GARGOLAS
SEE THE WORLD DIFFERENTLY
ABOUT GARGOLAS
Two photographers. One shared vision. A different perspective on the world.
Gargolas is the creative partnership of photographers Stéphane Gagnon and Manon Tremblay, a Québec-based couple united by a passion for travel, photography and the discovery of the world around them.
What began in 2012 as a way to preserve memories from our travels gradually became something much more: a passion, a creative language, and a way of seeing familiar places differently.
Our photography explores the world through perspective, movement, light, color and unexpected points of view. From iconic destinations and sweeping landscapes to architectural details and our distinctive Tiny Planet imagery, we seek to create photographs that go beyond documenting a place — images that reinterpret it.
Why Gargolas?
The name was inspired by our fascination with gargoyles — the mysterious stone guardians that have watched over historic buildings for centuries. Both protective and fantastical, they embody history, architecture, imagination and a slightly unconventional way of looking at the world. They became a natural symbol for our photographic identity.
Over the years, our photographic journey has taken us across the world and resulted in an extensive archive of more than 20,000 images. Our work has reached clients in more than 100 countries, appeared in publications, and inspired a series of photographic books.
Today, Gargolas brings together a curated selection of our strongest work as fine-art photography, available as museum-quality prints and created for private collectors, distinctive interiors, hospitality spaces and design projects.
Welcome to Gargolas. Explore the world through our eyes.
